FC Platinum locked out
Dynamos stuck to their guns and refused to fulfill the Independence Trophy final replay against FC Platinum at Rufaro on Wednesday afternoon.
The Harare giants never showed up at the venue while FC Platinum, who had traveled all the way from Zvishavane found the gates locked and no match officials in sight.
The original Independence Trophy was abandoned, following a power blackout, with Dynamos leading 1-0 in the 65th minute at the National Sports Stadium on April 18.
Kenny Mubaiwa, the Dynamos chairman had been insisting that they will not fulfil the fixture as they will incur more expenses and had asked Zifa to declare FC Platinum as the 2015 Uhuru Cup winners by virtue of being defending champions.
However, Zifa had maintained that the game was on, but later FC Platinum then headed to Gwanzura where they engaged the Warriors who are preparing for the Cosafa Senior Challenge.
Earlier in the day, Dynamos had held their normal training session while the Castle Lager Premiership had moved FC Platinum's league match against Triangle to Mandava on Sunday.
Zifa spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela said they will issue a statement on the latest debacle before the end of the day.
