All is set for the Zimbabwe national soccer team's crunch African Nations Championship qualifier against the Comoros slated for Rufaro stadium on Sunday.
The battle lines are now drawn as the Warriors and Les Coelecantes lock horns in what promises to be a highly entertaining encounter.
Zimbabwe head into Sunday's battle as favourites but will have top guard against complacency as they look to capitalise on home advantage.
Boasting of young talent such as Tatenda Mukuruva, Blessing Moyo, Tinotenda Kadewere and Malvin Gaki, Callisto Pasuwa will be hoping to maintain the positive momentum which saw the Warriors overcome Malawi in an AFCON qualifier opener last weekend.
With selection restricted to local based players, Sunday is an opportunity for players such as Ronald Chitiyo to impress and challenge for a place in Zimbabwe's AFCON squad.
Zimbabwe has already shown good form in CHAN events after reaching the semi-finals at the last edition staged in South Africa.
The Warriors opponents the Comoros will, however, be hoping to improve on their CHAN form after they were eliminated by Mauritius in the qualifiers of the last edition.
With previous form often counting for nothing, Sunday will be a new encounter which Pasuwa will be hoping for victory as the Warriors seek for a win that will make life easier when Zimbabwe travel for the return leg.
