Local football analysts have hailed the ZIFA Referees Committee's decision to sanction Bongani Gadzikwa whose controversial decision cost Highlanders a goal in the Battle of Zimbabwe on Sunday.
Oliver Vembo says the decision to suspend Gadzikwa will serve as a stern warning to match officials going in the future.
Another analyst Stanley Katsande also hailed the referees committee's stance, underlining the significance of such rulings in uplifting refereeing standards.
Meanwhile, the ZIFA Referees Committee's vice chairman Wilfred Mukuna says there will be zero tolerance on poor officiating going into the future.
Gadzikwa on Sunday hogged the limelight after he flagged Edmore Muzanenhamo for offside although replays showed the Bosso forward was without doubt onside.
The disallowed goal cost Highlanders what would have been an equaliser as Dembare led 3-2 at the time of the incident.
