Chibuku Super Cup first round draw

THE Premier Soccer League this afternoon conducted the draw for the Chibuku Super Cup whose final has been set for October 31 at a venue yet to be confirmed.

The first round of matches have been set for the weekend of August 8-9.

Clubs were seeded according to their position on the table on match day 15.

The top eight clubs (Position 1 to Position 8) were seeded and automatically positioned according to their log standing as at Match Day 15.

The bottom eight clubs (Position 9 to Position 16) were fixtured against the seeded teams by public drawing of lots.

From the Match Day 15 league table, Chicken Inn led the standings with Triangle, Dynamos, How Mine, Caps United, Chapungu, FC Platinum and Harare City following in that order.

The bottom eight teams were Highlanders on ninth, followed by ZPC Kariba, Buffaloes, Hwange, Tsholotsho, Flame Lily, Whawha and Dongo Sawmill.
