Zimbabwean striker Knowledge Musona inspired KV Oostende to a 2-0 victory after scoring a winner that saw his Belgian outfit cement pole position topflight league.
KV Oostende conceded an early third minute goal, but the side recovered when Joseph Akpala struck in the 14th minute.
Musona however ensured the hosts bagged maximum points with a goal scored 12 minutes from time.
Victory propelled KV Oostende to pole position on 13 points three ahead of St. Truiden.
Still in Europe, Zimbabwe-born defender Brandon Galloway featured in Everton's 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.
Galloway did well in containing City's Spaniard Jesus Navas, but was however unlucky after picking up a knee injury.
Galloway had been thrust into the Everton defence after Leighton Baines picked up an injury that will see him out of action for some time.
Moving to the South African premiership, Warriors striker Cuthbert Malajila was in good form as he scored a brace that handed Mamelodi Sundowns a 4-2 victory over Bidvest Wits.
Zimbabwean international Khama Billiat was also on target in the Brazilians win.
