Lloyd Mutasa warns Dembare

Whawha coach Lloyd Mutasa is confident of blowing away the title aspirations of Dynamos when the two teams clash in a Castle Premiership match this afternoon at Rufaro Stadium.
The prison wardens will be aiming for a memorable double over the defending champions who are still licking their wounds following a humiliating 1-3 defeat to FC Platinum at Mandava stadium, in Zvishavane last weekend.
And now Mutasa, who played for Dynamos and later coached them, takes his relegation-threatened side to Rufaro stadium, with a realistic chance of derailing the popular Harare giants.
"It's not a secret that we are fighting relegation.Every game that we are playing from now is an important one as we are desperate for maximum points," Mutasa told the Daily News yesterday.
"We are coming to Harare to try and get the three points. We have done it before and we can still do it. If we can pick maximum points against Dynamos it will be a huge step towards survival."
While the prison wardens are desperate for maximum points, Mutasa has, however, predicted a difficult game against the Glamour Boys.
"It's not going to be an easy game though as you are aware Dynamos are in the championship race. So they are equally in need of maximum points. We will try and play our usual game."
The prison wardens, in their debut season in the Premiership are fighting relegation and sit second from bottom with a paltry 19 points with eight games to go. They still have a chance of escaping relegation.
WhaWha face Dembare at a time when the latter's spirits are deflated following that 1-3 thumping at FC Platinum.
The defeat was a huge blow to Dynamos' title aspirations and for the first time, in four straight years, they will now have to win their games while hoping for slip ups by Chicken Inn and FC Platinum, the two sides that have shown championship qualities.
Defeat to FC Platinum, which was Tonderai Ndiraya's first since he took over from David Mandigora, left the reigning champions in third position with 39 points — seven behind log leaders Chicken Inn and two adrift of FC Platinum who dislodged them from the second position.
The champions would be hard-pressed to win tomorrow's encounter and hope that Chicken Inn and FC Platinum drop points in their fixtures at Triangle and How Mine, respectively.
Dynamos would be also itching for revenge following their shock 0-1 defeat by Whawha in the reverse fixture in May and Mutasa is aware another win this afternoon will help them in their battle for Premiership survival.
If Dembare lose today and results go against them in Triangle and Bulawayo, respectively, their bid for an unprecedented fifth consecutive title would be dead in the water.
Mid-week Fixtures:
Today: ZPC Kariba v Harare City (Nyamhunga Stadium), How Mine v FC Platinum (Luveve), Chapungu v Tsholotsho (Ascot Stadium), Dynamos v Whawha (Rufaro Stadium), Triangle United v Chicken Inn (Gibbo Stadium), Hwange v CAPS United (Colliery Stadium)
Tomorrow: Highlanders v Flame Lily (Barbourfields Stadium), Buffaloes v Dongo Sawmills (Sakubva Stadium)
