Manchester United reportedly are tracking Everton left-back Brendan Galloway ahead of a possible move in the January transfer window.
Louis van Gaal is keen to sign a left-sided defender in the winter as a potential cover for Luke Shaw, who is unlikely to play again this season after suffering a double leg break in a Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven last month.
The Dutchman was already said to be keeping taps on a string of left-backs including Leeds United's Charlie Taylor, Charlton Athletic's Morgan Fox and PSV's Jetro Willems and Galloway is the latest addition in the list.
19-year-old Zimbabwe-born England youth international joined Everton from MK Dons for an undisclosed fee on a five-year contract in August last year. He is a regular starter for the Toffees this season as their no.1 left-back Leighton Baines is out with an ankle injury.
Galloway, who moved to England from Harare at the age of six, has represented his adopted country at under-17, under-18 and under-19 levels.
