The Mbada Sponsorship has come at an opportune time as clubs were enduring financial difficulties and the tournament is a welcome development as it covers all the 16 PSL Clubs.

The tournament will see the winners pocketing $75 000, a floating trophy and $150 000 of accommodation and air tickets sponsorship subsidy to participate in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Further, this subsidy shall be used to procure $25 000 worth of kit sponsorship bearing Mbada Diamonds logo for use during the 2012 CAF Confederation Cup tournament.

The runners-up will pocket $50 000.

There are also individual awards and trophies.

The tournament will bring out the best of Zimbabwean football. It is also hoped that players and club administrators will reciprocate the gesture by maintaining a high standard of professionalism and sportsmanship during the tournament.
