The Mighty Warriors have qualified for the 2016 Olympics set for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil after beating Cameroon 1-nil to eliminate the West Africans on away goals rule in the final round of qualifiers.

After losing 2-1 away in Yaoundé, the Mighty Warriors just needed a 1-nil victory to seal qualification and a Rudo Neshamba first half strike ensured that.

The Zimbabwean girls missed a host of opportunities that could have settled all the nerves but a 1-nil victory was enough to trigger wild celebrations from the packed Rufaro stadium.

Meanwhile, the men's national soccer team, the Warriors beat Lesotho 3-1 an Babourfields Stadium in Bulawayo this afternoon in a CHAN 2016 qualifier.

A brace from Rodrick Mutuma and a late strike from Danny Phiri sealed the victory ahead of the reverse fixture in Lesotho next week.
