Current Castle Lager Premier Soccer League log leaders - Chicken INN have suffered a huge blow to their first ever title aspirations as two key players have had their season ended through injuries.
Divine Lunga and Tafadza Kutinyu sustained injuries while on national duty.
On Wednesday, Chicken Inn take on FC Platinum at Luveve Stadium in a key match that has a huge bearing on the title destination.
With just four points separating the two teams, there's all to play for as the championship race heads to the wire.
The Bulawayo based side is also facing a dilemma on player selection as some of their players are still to arrive in Bulawayo from national duty with the Warriors in Lesotho.
Said coach Joey Antipas : "We have to do with the available resources. It's a very unfortunate incident when players get injured whilst on national duty. When one is called to represent Zimbabwe, it means they are good enough. I can only wish them a speedy recovery.
" As for the Platinum game we will do with the available players". FC Platinum have never beaten Chicken Inn in Bulawayo and the Zvishavane side will be hoping to break that jinx if they harbour any hopes of moving to within a point of the log leaders.
The platinum miners have had fruitful visits to Bulawayo this season, managing to collect seven points in their three games against Highlanders, How Mine and Tsholotsho FC.
They beat Highlanders 2-1, thumped How Mine 3-0 and drew 0-0 against Tsholotsho.
FC Platinum's matches against How Mine and Tsholotsho FC were played at the same venue of tomorrow's clash against the Gamecocks.
FC Platinum will also go into tomorrow's match seeking to maintain their 16-game unbeaten run stretching back to 10 May when they lost 1-0 to Dynamos in Harare.
