Some members of the ZIFA Assembly of 58 councillors, who form the electoral college, could be ineligible to vote in the ZIFA polls should they fail to settle their subscriptions, arrears and affiliation dues by this Friday.

The December 5 ZIFA elections will be conducted at the ZIFA Village in Mt Hampden under the guidelines prescribed by the ZIFA constitution and ZIFA Electoral Code of 2013.

The electoral committee, chaired by retired High Court judge, Justice Sello Nare, will meet on the 13th November, which is the deadline of written notices given to councillors to make sure they are in good standing.

Councillors who fail to settle arrears by that day risk losing their voting powers come 5 December.

The electoral committee is also expected to ascertain nominations for Trevor Carelse-Juul and Edzai Kasinauyo that were re-submitted today.

On Friday, the electoral committee is expected to officially announce the final list of those candidates eligible to stand for the December elections.

The electoral college consists of 58 councillors who include, the 16 PSL clubs.

The PSL and women's football have a representative each on the ZIFA executive board.
