Chiyangwa becomes new ZIFA president

Philip Chiyangwa is now the ZIFA board president after winning elections held at the ZIFA Village In Mt Hampden on Saturday.
Chiyangwa polled 40 votes beating the closest contender Trevor Carelse-Juul by 27 votes.
Juul had 13 votes while Leslie Gwindi had two.
1984 Soccer Star of the Year James Takavada had a single vote.
Chiyangwa will be deputised by Omega Sibanda who beat Lincoln Mutasa by nine votes in a closely contested vote.
Sibanda polled 34 votes while Mutasa had 23.
The new ZIFA board members are Edzai Kasinauyo, Philemon Machana, Felton Kamambo and Piraishe Mabhena.
Judge Selo Nare presided over the elections.
