New Zifa deputy President thanks Councillors for electing him

The newly elected Vice President of Zimbabwe Football Association Omega Sibanda has thanked the national governing board's Councillors for choosing him as the deputy to the new President Philip Chiyangwa.

The new leadership of ZIFA was elected on Saturday.

"Thanks to all the ZIFA Councillors, the football fans and the entire Zimbabwe football community for once again giving me the mandate to serve football as ZIFA Vice President," he posted on Facebook.

"As I promised before, I will fight to resuscitate our game and return Zimbabwe to its rightful status as one of the giants of Southern African teams. I will thrive to bring transparency, professionalism and integrity in our game. Oms is here to serve football and nothing more, your support and love will always be appreciated."
