DYNAMOS' striking duo of Takesure Chinyama and self-styled bad boy of local football Rodrick Mutuma have been handed a three-match ban by the Premier Soccer League's disciplinary committee for their violent conduct at the end of the Chibuku Super Cup final against Harare City in October 2015.

The pair menacingly charged at referee Philani Ncube accusing him of biased officiating and the PSL charged them with contravening Order 31 of the Castle Lager PSL Rules and Regulations.

They were initially handed a four-match ban after the first hearing, but Dynamos launched an appeal against the judgment in time for the two players to feature in the semi-finals of the Netone Easycall Cup against old rivals Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium last December.

Dembare lost 1-2 and Mutuma was red-carded for violent behaviour after kicking Bosso's Ralph Matema in an off-the-ball incident.

Order 31 points out that it is an act of misconduct where players, officials, servants or duly authorised (express or implied) representatives or supporters directly or indirectly interrupt, obstruct or disturb the normal proceedings of a game before, during or after the match. It's also an offence to assault, threaten, intimidate, coerce, interfere or mislead or insult a match official, player, official of the league, public, press or media or any other person before, during or after the match. Behaviour in a manner that brings the league or any of its sponsors into disrepute or endangers the welfare of the league is also considered in serious light.

According to the disciplinary committee's ruling, each player "is hereby banned from participating in three consecutive PSL or officially sanctioned matches with effect from January 18, 2016".

"The players shall each pay 50 percent of the costs of the disciplinary and appeal hearings and neither player shall participate in any PSL officially sanctioned match even after serving the three match ban until such player has paid his 50 percent share of costs," read part of the judgment.
