Harare City have crashed out of the African football extravaganza after losing away to a spirited Zambian side, Zanaco 3-1 in the second leg of the CAF Confederations Cup first round match played this afternoon.

With just 10 minutes into the match, William Manondo put Harare City ahead to raise hopes of an unlikely upset by the visitors, who had an uphill task of overturning a 2-1 home first leg defeat.

Zanaco however responded with three unanswered goals to seal a 5-2 aggregate victory.

The result means that Zimbabwe no longer has representation in continental club football after fellow Zimbabwean side, Chicken Inn were knocked out of the CAF Champions League by South African side, Mamelodi Sundowns.
