Bulawayo teams are set to clash in Harare for the traditional Independence Cup finals.
Highlanders beat FC Platinum in a penalty shoot out by 3 - 1 after 1 - 1 deadlock in regulation time.
Highlanders keeper Ariel Sibanda again saved two penalties.
In Harare Chicken Inn humbled Dynamos 1 - 0. Chicken Inn broke the deadlock after Clemence Matawu fed Mitchell Katsvairo who coolly lobbed an on rushing Tatenda Mukuruva in a contest that went to the half time break with the Gamecocks 1-nil in front.
Obadiah Tarumbwa could have killed off the game as a contest in the 54th minute but some brilliant goalkeeping by Mukuruva ensured the Gamecocks remained 1-nil in front.
Walter Mukanga and Rodrick Mutuma had their moments but it was another frustrating afternoon for Dynamos who continued to fire blanks.
Traditionally all Independence Finals are played in Harare.
