HIGHLANDERS is eyeing its eighth Independence Cup this afternoon but head coach Erol Akbay would have preferred to face Dynamos.
He is scared of city rivals Chicken Inn.
Bosso beat FC Platinum 3-1 in a penalty shoot-out at Barbourfields on Saturday to meet Chicken Inn, who edged Dynamos 1-0 in another semi-final played at Rufaro.
Highlanders eye their eighth Independence Cup title after winning it in 1986, 1988, 1991, 1998, 2001, 2002 and 2011.
But after upstaging a second string Platinum side, Akbay showed he is wary of Joey Antipas' side, who have the wind in their sails after a good start on the domestic front. "Oh Chicken Inn beat Dynamos? Too bad! Actually I wanted to play against Dynamos," Akbay said on Saturday.
"We have to think about it tonight and come up with tactics for the final. It is not going to be an easy game, I have seen Chicken Inn, they are a very good team. I think it is going to be an exciting game," he said.
