Border Strikers head coach Saul Chaminuka has claimed that match officials favoured Highlanders a situation that led his side defeat.

Highlanders beat struggling Border Strikers 2-0 on Wednesday.

Chaminuka blasted referee Allan Bhasvi for aiding Highlanders to victory, claiming the whistleman had "come into the match with the result in his pocket."

Highlanders broke the deadlock through the penalty spot after a Border Strikers defender was adjudged to have handled the ball.

Bruce Kangwa scored from the spot kick before adding a second later on in the match

The decision lead to a stoppage in play as Border Strikers protested the decision and threatened to walk off the pitch. Head coach Saul Chaminuka had to talk to his players to get back onto the pitch.

Chaminuka though made his feelings known after the game as he felt his side had been robbed.

"That was not a penalty. It's unfortunate match officials come with match results in their pockets.

"They did that to Chicken Inn last season and they were kicked out of the champions league."

The result left Border Strikers still on the bottom of the table with only three points from 10 games.
