AN inconsistent Hwange would be gunning for maximum points when they take on debutants Bulawayo City in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League tie at the Colliery Stadium in Hwange this afternoon.
Hwange had a difficult start to the season following the suspension of former coach, Nation Dube on match fixing allegations, as the side lost three of their first five games, winning one and drawing the other.
The coal mining side, however, managed to turn the corner and won three more matches but consistency has been their enemy as they drew two and lost an equal number of games under Mebelo Njekwa.
Bulawayo City would be hoping to recover from the three match losing streak which saw them lose to Harare City, Caps United and Dynamos by winning today's encounter.
The Philani "Beefy" Ncube-coached side would be hoping for a change of fortunes and notch a victory although Hwange are a difficult team to handle when they are playing at home.
In Harare, a resurgent Dynamos look to continue with their winning streak when they take on table anchors Beitbridge-based side Border Strikers at Rufaro this afternoon.
Dynamos are likely to welcome new signings Simba Gorogodyo and Denver Mukamba whom they hope will strengthen their squad and put them back on the path to challenging for the title.
The former champions recovered from their loss to arch-rivals Highlanders, winning their last four matches after initially struggling under former coach Paulo Jorge Silva who was replaced by then assistant, Lloyd Mutasa.
