Soccer fans will this afternoon pay for one match to watch two games at Barbourfields Stadium when Bulawayo City and Chicken Inn entertain Border Strikers and Ngezi Platinum respectively in a Castle Lager Premiership double header.
Bulawayo City and Border Strikers will get the ball rolling at 1PM before Rahman Gumbo's boys take on Tonderayi Ndiraya's resurgent platinum miners.
Ndiraya has posted three back-to-back wins since taking over the reins at the Mhondoro-based side and will be relishing another win in Bulawayo following their shock 2-1 victory over How Mine.
Chicken Inn will start as favourites as they will be eager to erase their loss to Chapungu at Ascot Stadium last Saturday.
The GameCocks have the players that can rise to the occasion but some of them have to change their attitude in the manner they approach matches and accept that a new coach is in charge.
Gumbo was apparently livid after the loss to Chapungu and reportedly told his players that those that didn't want to play under him were free to pack their bags and leave while the mid-season transfer window was still open.
With seasoned players like the evergreen Clemence Matawu, midfield enforcer Thabani Goredema, Tafadzwa Kutinyu and the skilful Obidiah Tarumbwa, Chicken Inn boast of one of the most experienced sides in the league.
At the back they have Teenage Hadebe partnered by Lawrence Mhlanga, who makes a return after suspension.
Still buoyed by their 1-0 away win against Hwange, City need to avoid complacency when they face bottom of the table Border Strikers.
City have been exhibiting some exciting football, especially when skipper Xolani Moyo and young Lewis Ncube are in form.
They have, however, conceded some silly goals largely due to lack of concentration in defence, which has the tried and trusted Nyasha Mukumbi.
