Castle Lager Premiership league has reached half way stage and Highlanders find itself on familiar territory- on top of the pile.

Bosso returned to the top of the table on Sunday following their 1-0 win over title hopefuls Caps United.

However, in 2014, 2013 and 2012 season, Bosso topped the league midway but lost the title.

In 2012 under present How Mine coach Kelvin Kaindu, Highlanders had 33 points after 15 games, three ahead of Dynamos who were second but went on to be crowned champions due to a superior goal difference to Bosso.

The following year, Bosso again found themselves on top, tied with Chicken Inn, but Dynamos, who were third, raced to the title on a superior goal difference.

The top spot "curse" continued for Bosso in 2014 as they squandered a three-point lead to allow Dynamos to grab a record equaling fourth consecutive title.

Bosso finished a disappointing fifth, having choked to amass a paltry 15 points from 15 games.
