HARARE CITY coach, Moses "Bambo" Chunga has demanded victory from his charges ahead of their Zimbabwe National Army Charities Shield final showdown with Highlanders at Babourfields on Sunday.

The Sunshine Boys coach insisted yesterday that he will be looking for nothing short of victory as Harare City look to lay their hands on what could be their first piece of silverware this season.

Chunga who saw his men draw 1-1 against Premiership champions Chicken Inn at Rufaro last Saturday said they would take a positive approach against a resurgent Highlanders that has taken over pole position in the league title race following a 1-0 triumph over Caps United at Barbourfields.

"We are ready to face off against Highlanders. We have been preparing hard and I should say we are going to approach this game with a positive mind and we want to come out tops," he said.

The Sunshine Boys mentor said he has enough arsenal to do the job on Sunday and fans should expect a thriller.

"This is a cup final that I am looking forward to win at all costs.

"I am going to field a strong team to win the trophy. My players are eager to lay hands on the first silverware this season," Chunga said.

Highlanders' coach, Elroy Akbay whose team has already lost a cup final this season after going down 1-2 in the Independence Trophy to city rivals Chicken Inn in Harare said he won't let another opportunity to claim gold slip through his hands once again.

"Having lost the Independence Cup to Chicken Inn, I should say this match presents us with a chance for redemption.

"We are training hard for the match and I should say we have to win the cup come what may," said Akbay.

The Dutch coach said he will not have the luxury of resting his key players despite his team having a crucial league tie against Triangle a week after the cup final.

"I need all my players to play the cup final for the team. No one will be rested as Highlanders is not a team of individuals. I will field the strongest possible side and see what happens but I want to win this trophy especially to heal the wounds of that disappointing Independence Cup final loss," he said.

Winners of the ZNA Charities Shield will walk away $12 000 richer while the runners-up are assured of pocketing $8 000.

ZNA Charities Staff Officer Grade One, Fabian Chitungo said his organisation is looking forward to an entertaining encounter and appealed to fans to come in their numbers to support the cause.

He said proceeds from the match will be channelled towards the ZNA's five charitable organisations for the disadvantaged army members and their dependents.

Bosso beat Chicken Inn in the quarter-finals before accounting for FC Platinum in the semis to clinch their place in the final while the Sunshine Boys had to navigate a way past Caps United and ZPC Kariba.
