IN form Highlanders winger, Bruce Kangwa, has grabbed three consecutive Castle Lager Premier Soccer League player of the month accolades.
His coach Erol Akbay scooped the April coach of the month gong, with FC Platinum's Norman Mapeza and Dynamos' Lloyd Mutasa winning the award for May and June respectively.
Kangwa, who is presently on trials with Tanzanian giants Azam, shared the April award with FC Platinum's Obrey Chirwa before going solo for the May and June prizes.
The league's leading goal scorer with seven goals has been a consistent performer for Highlanders in the past two seasons, but has gone a gear up since the arrival of Dutchman Akbay, who switched him from defence into an attacking midfielder.
Kangwa's goal-scoring pedigree has been the reason the Bulawayo giants are topping the league table heading into their final match of the first half of the season against Triangle United next Wednesday.
The selection was done by the PSL 16 club captains and their coaches, as well as 33 selected sports media journalists and the awards each carry $500 in prize money.
