Warriors hitman Knowledge Musona was quick off the mark in the Belgian league after scoring in the opening weekend of action in the Belgian topflight.

Musona's goal was however unable to save his side from a 2-1 loss at the hands of Genk.

The Smiling Assasin's team was 2 nil down but netted in the 90th minute to reduce the arrears to 2-1.

The Aces Youth Soccer Academy product is among key players that are expected to play a pivotal role when the Warriors compete at the 2017 AFCON finals to be hosted by Gabon early next year.

In Sweden, Matthew Rusike's Helsingborg played out a 1 all draw with Haecken on Sunday.

A concussion ruled Rusike out of Sunday's encounter which was Helsingborg's fourth draw of the season.

In South Africa, Warriors skipper Willard Katsande, Edmore Chirambadare and Mitchell Katsvairo celebrated a Carling Cup Black Label victory as their team Kaizer Chiefs overcame Orlando Pirates 2 nil on Saturday.

While Katsande has won silverware for Chiefs before, it was the first time Chirambadare received a winners medal at his new home.

For Tendai Ndoro it was disappointment after featuring in an encounter which saw the Bucaneers failing to find the target.
