Depleted Caps United face Hwange

CAPS United will miss the services of influential right-back, Hardlife Zvirekwi, when they visit the Colliery on Sunday for a tricky assignment against a plucky Hwange who are usually tough to beat in their backyard.

Hwange are also eyeing a top-four finish at the end of the season.

Zvirekwi is suspended from Sunday's match after accumulating three yellow cards.

"I am just one man and if I am not available someone will fill my position," Zvirekwi said.

"At one point I was injured but the team went on to beat Chicken Inn.

"We have enough depth and I feel we will get a positive result despite my absence. Our team registered 30 players and there is enough cover for me."

Coach Lloyd Chitembwe said he was concerned that he could carry a depleted side to the Colliery.

CAPS United beat Hwange 1-0 at the Colliery last season to give Chitembwe his first win after his return to take charge of the Green Machine technical department.

"I will probably miss five key players — Ronald (Pfumbidzai) Tafadzwa (Rusike) and Valentine (Musarurwa) are all injured while Hardlife (Zvirekwi) is suspended," said Chitembwe.

"We are going to maintain the same attitude. Our focus is to keep on winning and collecting as many points as we can and see what happens at the end of the season."

Hwange coach Mabelo Njekwa said his team was in good shape.

"We want to stop CAPS United and this is one match we are treating more seriously than the other matches we have played," said the coach.

"We want to go up and we are not far from the leading pack.

"We know we will be playing the team on second position but we also need maximum points.

"They have been having the better of us in the past three seasons and this has to stop on Sunday."
