WARRIORS defender Teenage Hadebe could join ABSA Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs.

Although Chiefs last week indicated that they are content with the players they have recruited so far, the South African giants are considering Hadebe.

By today the defender could be in South Africa but no negotiations have been opened.

"They want another defender; preferably a central defender for cover and Hadebe could be the most suitable. They have been in contact and they want to take a look at him.

"He will travel to South Africa for that and what happens in the coming days, will determine if he is gone for good," the source.

Kaizer Chiefs boss Bobby Motaung had indicated that they are happy with their squad.

"No, we are not looking for players and we are not talking to any players," he was quoted by KickOff last week.

"If anything comes up we'll make an announcement or Vina [Maphosa] will put it on our social media, but currently we are not looking at anyone."

Hadebe is a left footed central defender who has been an understudy to Costa Nhamoinesu in the national team.

The Bantu Rovers product is currently contracted at Chicken Inn.
