Harare City 2-1 Bulawayo City
Two disallowed goals, a questionable penalty and a red card were some of the major talking points in this Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match pitting Harare City and Bulawayo City at Rufaro yesterday.

Moses "Bambo" Chunga's Sunshine Boys had two goals disallowed in the first half while leftback Brian Chikwenya was given a straight red card by Thabani Bamala for dissent.

Bulawayo City were first to settle down and took the lead in the first half through defender Morris Kadzola but Harare City had a good second half which saw them equalising in the 80th minute through a Ronald Chitiyo strike.

The hosts then went ahead in the 86th minute when Ndiweni was adjudged to have handled in the box, when the ball appeared to hit his shoulder, and substitute William Manondo took responsibility and converted.

Bulawayo City had better possession in the first half with Trevor Ncube causing all sorts of problems on the left flank. Bulawayo City interim coach Try Ncube said they did not do enough to protect their lead and it cost them maximum points.

"We were guilty of positional discipline and that saw us concede a soft goal for the equaliser. We could have done better as Harare City didn't play their best of game.

"I am also disappointed with the penalty we conceded, I don't think it was a genuine one, the game was not hard but we lost.

"We had the chance to win but somehow we could not kill it," Ncube said. Chunga said they did not play their best football but he was happy with the three points.

"We were disjointed and at times you need luck and that was on our side and so we are happy for the three points. "I am also happy that (goalkeeper) Tafadzwa Dube's experience saved us a lot," said Chunga.
