Bosso hit by injuries

HIGHLANDERS and Hwange have been hit with disabling body blows ahead of their match-day-22 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League matches with the suspension of their key and inform players.

Bosso, still bubbling from their maiden 2-0 second half of the season win over How Mine, will go to Border Strikers without Erick Mudzingwa, who, on Sunday, commandeered the midfield department like a general while Hwange's Gift Mbweti, the league's leading goal scorer with eight goals, will miss next Wednesday's clash against Chicken Inn.

The two are part of the seven players who have each accumulated three yellow cards, according to a communiqué from the league.

"Please note that the player(s) listed hereunder have each accumulated three (3) yellow cards and will be suspended for one match respectively.

"The said player(s) shall not participate in their club's matchday twenty-two of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League matches scheduled for the 3rd to 7th August 2016," said the league in a statement released by its communications and media liaison officer Kudzai Bare.

The suspended players are - Mostafa Ponyera (Tsholotsho), Gift Mbweti (Hwange), Tichaona Mapungwana (triangle United ), Tinashe Mugadzaweta (Border Strikers), Erick Mudzingwa (Highlanders), Liberty Chakoroma (Ngezi Platinum Stars) Jimmy Tigere (Harare City).

Saturday: Bulawayo City v Mutare City (Barourfields), ZPC Kariba v FC Platinum (Nyamhunga), How Mine v Tsholotsho (Luveve), Harare City v Ngezi Platinum (Rufaro)
