PSL dilemma : Four teams to be chopped
31 Oct 2016 at 07:06hrs | Views
Zimbabwe's soccer governing body ZIFA has plunged the Premier Soccer League into chaos by voting to relegate four teams instead of two.
The decision was reached on Saturday, with only two rounds of games left.
ZIFA spokesperson Xolisani Gwesela said, "A decision regarding that issue would be announced in due course".
If ZIFA goes ahead to relegate four teams it would mean Chapungu and Tsholotsho who had been occupying "safe spots" would go down together with Border Strikers (already relegated) and Mutare City who are second from bottom with 25 points.
Hwange and Triangle are not entirely safe either if four teams are relegated with both teams tied on 35 points.
