The smartwatch has seen a return rate of 30% in Best Buy locations in the U.S. according to leaked information.
Almost of a third of Samsung's Galaxy Gear smartwatches are being returned, a leaked document has revealed.
The figures come from information released to geek.com and show 30 per cent of the smartwatches sold in Best Buy locations in the U.S. are being returned.
Samsung employees have reportedly been asked to try and understand why the watches are being returned at an unexpectedly high rate.
According to the UK Telegraph, It could be that the £299 smartwatch is not living up to its cost, even with customers buying it for Best Buy offers.
The Gear can be used to make and answer calls and view messages and notifications, but it is only compatible with Samsung smartphones and is "infuriatingly limited".
Currently the Galaxy Gear only works with the Galaxy Note 3 Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition, but its compatibility will soon extend to the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, and Galaxy Note 2.
It will have a new Androad 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update that Samsung says will provide easier text input, and updated graphics and multimedia.
Some Samsung features and applications will also be updated, including Knox (Samsung's mobile security solution), Smart Switch (which transfers content from other smartphones to Samsung devices) and HomeSync cloud storage.
