Google withdraws Gmail app for BlackBerry

Google has announced it's pulling out its Gmail app from BlackBerry App World as of 22 November, so grab it while you can.

BlackBerry users will be able to continue to access Gmail through www.gmail.com in their BlackBerry web browser.

Those who have already downloaded the Gmail app will still be able to use it, but Google will not be issuing updates or providing any support.

BlackBerry owners have until November 22 to download the Gmail app.

Google withdrew the Gmail app for Apple devices last Wednesday.

Google claims they have focused their efforts on building a Gmail experience in the mobile browser and will continue investing in that area.
