Windows 7 sells overtakes Windows XP

Microsoft has announced that Windows 7 has overtaken Windows XP sells with sells nearly approaching 450 billion copies.

Microsoft made that announcement at the developer-focused Microsoft Build conference taking place this week in Anaheim, Calif.

Meanwhile Microsoft is working on Windows 7's successor, codenamed Windows 8.
