Econet customers can now top up their airtime automatically

Global telecommunications company ZTE in collaboration with Econet have introduce the Easy Recharge Network (ERN) Service that enables subscribers to top up their airtime automatically.
The ERN service, which is popular in developed countries, enables cellphone subscribers to purchase airtime electronically via text message, thus avoiding the hassles associated with recharge cards.
ZTE is the second leading supplier of telecommunications equipment and network solutions in the world and the introduction of the service in Zimbabwe is considered a positive step in the development of the country's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.
It is envisaged that the ERN service will also be made available to the country's three mobile networks.
