Econet Wireless has partnered with Bozza, an African music, video and poetry content system, to enable customers to access more songs for use as caller ringback tones, ITWeb reported.

Bozza website gives African artists the platform to share their "latest videos, music and poetry" and the opportunity for fans across the continent to "discover it and directly support the artists".

Songs downloaded and purchased using Buddie Beatz carry an initial charge of $1 and expires after 30 days.

"Thereafter it will incur a charge of 25 cents per week," Econet said in a statement on Thursday.

Econet launched the Buddie Beatz platform as a value added service for its network users in 2012 after rival operator, Telecel Zimbabwe had already launched its own version called 'Teletunes'
