The Zimbabwe's largest mobile communication company Econet has come under fire for selling Facebook data bundles which last less than the period which they are prescribed to last amid threats by customers to ditch their mobile company

Kicky Nathanson a trans-gender activist said the new Econet Facebook bundles are utter RUBBISH! How can one buy a bundle for a week, which will have used up 80% after one day's use," she said.

"Now with my remaining 20% (so I believe) I have not enough data to search for their freaking page on Facebook so I can ask them this simple question? I feel like storming their bloody office and ripping my SIM card out of my phone and cutting it up in front of the manager. Or better still, where do I find the CEO??? Another reason to get outta here! And they wonder."

Many Econet customers expressed concerns over the data bundles which either fail to log into Facebook yet they get finished even before the clients have properly used them.
