Econet signs strategic partnership with leading UK sports promoters

With boxing fans gearing up for the big showdown between heavy hitters Anthony Joshua and Dominic Breazeale as they contend for the IBF World Heavyweight title on June 25, Econet Media today announced the highly anticipated Joshua/Breazeale bout will be live streamed on its Kwesé Sports website!

The complimentary live streaming offered online at www.kwesesports.com, will be available to fans in Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Comoros, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Gabon, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast,  Kenya, Lesotho,  Liberia, Madagascar,  Malawi, Mali, Mauritius,  Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Reunion, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, the Seychelles,  Senegal, Sierra Leone,  Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, St Helena, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania (including Zanzibar), Togo,  Uganda, Zambia  and Zimbabwe.

The latest news comes as Econet Media and leading UK sports promoters Matchroom Sport confirm that they have signed a new long-term partnership, which will give Kwesé Sports broadcast rights to Matchroom's entire catalogue of events.

The UK-based promotional company produces over 700 hours of original programming per year across a range of sports.

The wide-ranging agreement between Matchroom and Kwesé Sports encompasses Matchroom Sport's full catalogue of programming, including;

    World Championship boxing from Britain's leading stable of boxing
    Major PDC Darts events including the PDC World Darts Championship, Premier League Darts and World Series of Darts
    Three major world pool events per year, including the popular Europe vs. America Mosconi Cup match
    Champion of Champions snooker
    PGA EuroPro Tour golf
    Fish'O'Mania, the annual FA Cup of Fishing
    World Championship of Ping Pong
    Weber Cup tenpin bowling

Kwesé Sports will also have access to Matchroom Sport's entire back catalogue of programming and archive specials.

Speaking on the agreement, Econet Media CEO Joseph Hundah commented: "We couldn't be happier to be working with Matchroom.
