Econet launches Smart Data campaign

Econet Wireless Zimbabwe has launched a data campaign, Smart Data, to promote internet use and enhance customers' experience.

Econet Wireless chief executive officer, Douglas Mboweni said broadband development was part of their future plans.

Mboweni said the key components were network capacity, devices and applications. Smart Data integrates all of Econet's applications into one system that can be easily accessed to those with applications compatible with devices.  

The Smart Data campaign is a culmination of Econet's recent conclusion of the network modernization project, which resulted in the telecommunication firm deploying over 400 new LTE sites and upgrading over 250 sites.
