Postal and Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (POTRAZ) is embarking on a nationwide campaign educating consumers of their rights with indications that firms will be fined for poor service delivery.

The introduction of fines for telecommunications firms which are offering shoddy service to consumers emerged at a consumer education campaign in Gokwe Nembudziya and Kuwirirana.

POTRAZ executive officer economics and financial analysis, Mr Talent Munyaradzi said the regulator will soon pounce on telecommunication firms that are giving a sub-standard service.

Gokwe Nembudziya legislator, Justice Mayor Wadyajena who attended one of the campaigns said there is need for more educational programmes regarding the telecommunication services.

In recent months mobile subscribers have complained about data bundles with some saying they are being fleeced by mobile operators as data bundles disappear upon subscribing.

People walked away with various prizes after outclassing each other on the dance floor with one lucky man having to ride a bicycle back home courtesy of Gokwe Nembudziya legislator for mastering a drill by POTRAZ team.
