Steward Bank opens Bulawayo branch

STEWARD Bank, the country's largest bank by accounts, is gearing to spearhead the revival of Bulawayo's manufacturing sector and ensure it regains its industrial hub of Zimbabwe status.  

Steward Bank CE Kwanele Ngwenya said this while addressing guests at the official opening of the Bulawayo branch on Wednesday evening.

Ngwenya said the bank is working with Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises on initiatives to bolster the country's critical sector in the city.

Ngwenya said Steward Bank was geared to bringing banking services to Zimbabweans through technology and create a savings culture.

Steward Bank, through its EcoSave/ EcoCash products has registered over 1.1 million accounts.
