Zanu-PF distances itself from Malema's EFF

Zanu-PF has disassociated itself from rumours that it is sponsoring Julius Malema's Economic Freedom Front (EFF) ahead of the elections.

The party says the only time that Zanu-PF entertained Malema was when he came to Zimbabwe as a leader of the ANC Youth League in 2008 when the revolutionary party received a number of delegations from sister liberation parties from the region.

The Zanu-PF observer mission to South Africa, which met several ANC officials on its arrival, explained the party has no private relationship with the EFF leader.
