Zimbabweans returning for the festive season from South Africa have expressed deep frustration over delays at the Beitbridge border post.
On Sunday, Bulawayo24.com reported that immigration officials at the South African side are on a go-slow.
Travellers said they are forced to wait for more than 18 hours to be cleared.
"I am going back to Bulawayo, their service is bad. It seems they are not willing to have us visit their country.
"I went into the SA border post at 3am yesterday (Sunday) and I am still here after immigration changed shifts twice," a woman identified as Thandi Ncube is quoted saying.
Reports indicate that more than 20 buses cleared before midnight from the Zimbabwean side on Sunday were yet to be attended to at 4pm yesterday.
Traditionally, the festive season is usually the busiest period at the border post.
About 18 000 people could be processed daily.
