Mnangagwa implicate Mugabe on Gukurahundi

Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa fell short of pointing his boss President Robert Mugabe as the chief Gukurahundi perpetrator.
Mnangagwa has for years denied his involvement in the 1980's bloody massacres.
He told a United Kingdom-based magazine New States Man that a president was in charge of security operations at the time and not him.
"How do I become the enforcer during Gukurahundi?.
" We had the President, the Minister of Defence, commander of the army and I was none of that. My own enemies attack me left and right and that is what you are buying," said Mnangagwa.
Mnangagwa was the State Security minister at the time.
According to the Catholic Commission for Peace and Justice (CCJP), the Gukurahundi mass killings left over 20 000 civilians dead when Mugabe sent a North-Korean-trained militia to Matabeleland and Midlands to crackdown on dissent to his rule.
