FORMER national healing co-minister and MDC MP, Moses Mzila-Ndlovu has come under unprovoked attack from the Morgan Tsvangirai-led MDC outfit over his stance to form a political party.
In December last year, Mzila-Ndlovu, a fierce critic of President Robert Mugabe announced the formation of Alliance for National Salvation (Ansa).
He said the pro-Matebeleland political party will contest the 2018 elections in the region as well as the Midlands.
According to MDC-T senior official in Bulawayo, Mzila-Ndlovu's party is a 'funny' movement bent of splitting up votes.
According to media reports, MDC deputy provincial spokesperson Felix Mafa said Mzila-Ndlovu who is the party's interim leader ahead of congress was "full of confusion".
"It is too disgusting to contemplate regional or tribal political parties to say the least, unless one is a Zanu PF disciple targeted at dividing formidable political formations," Mafa said as reported by the Daily News.
Added Mafa "People should be wary of these funny parties that get created now.
"Remember we are heading towards elections. Zanu PF, as usual, will create some funny parties to cause confusion mostly in the opposition parties,".
Mzila-Ndlovu was expelled from the Welshman Ncube fronted MDC last year.
He served as secretary general.
However, according to Ansa's mission statement, it plans to create an "anti-tribalism, regionalism, racism organization that will fight to restore the dignity of our people.
"Our goal is to achieve unity in diversity among our people in order for them to act purposefully and cohesively to reverse the gains of those who are treasonously using Zimbabwean independence to pursue a deadly and perilous agenda of ethnic hatred against the people of Matebeleland and the Midlands.
"Our goal is to bring to an end the unbridled economic sabotage in Zimbabwe by Zanu PF so that all citizens can benefit from the natural resources the country is richly endowed with.
"Our goal is to release Matebeleland and the Midlands from the ruthless clutches of a state-mafia masquerading as revolutionaries since 1980".
