Council called to order over roads rehabilitation

MDC deputy spokesperson Mbuso Siso has said the habit by City Council to try and present a rosy picture of the state of Bulawayo roads and infrastructure needs to stop forthwith.
He said President Robert Mugabe and his cronies need to see the true picture of the current state of roads and infrastructure in Bulawayo and experience first hand the daily misery of residents who are subjected to this reality on the roads, then maybe something can be done to fix the roads.
"This pathetic need to make a President who has caused the ruin of not only this city but the whole of Zimbabwe through mismanagement defeats all logic. Roads in virtually all suburbs, particularly the high density are populated by huge pot hole which have been mended for years and we were told it is due to lack of funds," he said.
"At the end of the day it all boils down to misplaced priorities by our city fathers and Zinara. President Mugabe deserves no special treatment and must be subjected to the potholes and other discomforts of road travel as we all are."
He said perhaps a little bit of wisdom needs to be exercised in future by the City Fathers and the other responsible authorities in this regard, if they truly have the welfare of the city at heart.
