BCC grants Zanu-PF free use of White City Stadium for interface Rally

Bulawayo city council has granted the ruling Zanu-PF permission for free use of the White City Stadium for the Presidential Youth Interface rally at a date yet to be announced.
According to latest council minutes the Acting Director, Housing and Community Services reported that the Town Clerk Christopher Dube recently received letter from Khonzani Ncube, Provincial Administration- Bulawayo Metropolitan Province which was passed on to the Housing and Community Services department for auctioning.
"The letter was appended herewith for easy reference; "The above matter refers, Please be informed that Bulawayo Metropolitan Province is going to be honored by the visit of his Excellency, The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Cde R.G Mugabe for the Youth Interface Rally on a date to be confirmed. The ZANU PF Youth League in conjunction with the Provincial State Occasions Committee has proposed the White City Stadium as the suitable venue for the event," reads the letter quoted in the minutes.
"It is against this background that we are requesting for the free use of White City Stadium as a venue for the above mentioned event. We cordially invite you to the preparatory meeting for this event on Thursday, 07 September 2017 at the Minister of State's boardroom at 1400 hours. We look forward to your usual assistance and cooperation."
The minutes states that the department had no objections to the availing White City Stadium free of charge for the Youth Interface Rally as this would be Council's contribution to this occasion of national significance.
"The request by the Bulawayo Metropolitan Province to use White City Stadium free of charge for the Youth Interface Rally on date to be confirmed be acceded to," reads the minutes.
