Bulawayo police on Wednesday assisted the deputy sheriff in chucking out Zanu-PF activists from an Indian owned building in the city that they have been resisting to vacate for more than two years.
The activists were last month ordered by the courts to vacate Victoria House but ignored the directive.
The youths tried to block the deputy sheriff from removing their wares from the building until they enlisted the services of the anti-riot police.
Spurned by the police action, the youths threatened to deal with the law enforcement agents accusing them of supporting MDC.
"We will cause chaos here and no one will use these premises after us. We are not scared of baton sticks. Zimbabwe was won through the shedding of blood," threatened one of the youths clad in Zanu-PF regalia.
The youths further accused the police of frustrating the Zanu'PF controversial indigenisation programme spear headed by one of President Robert Mugabe's loyalists and Youth Minister Saviour Kasukuwere.
However, by mid day al the property had been removed from the building and thrown outside along the pavements of Herbert Chitepo Street.
Bulawayo police and Zanu-PF youths have in the past been involved in running battles in a bid by law enforcers to restore sanity in the city that recorded a number of invasions of White and Indian owned buildings.
