Mthwakazi Republic Party says it has come to their attention as the party that there was an attempt by the Zimbabwe Republic Police yesterday at Ross Camp police station in Bulawayo to rig elections, where police officers were made to vote in front of their Bosses as an attempt to rig the elections in favour of ZANU PF.

"We would like to thank the police officers who took it upon themselves to expose the rigging process. We further applaud the MDC-Alliance for their swift reaction yesterday at Rose Camp police station. As a party we support every effort made to protect the will of the people" Mbonisi Gumbo the party spokesman said.

"Our party's security personnel who we sent at Rose camp yesterday reported that indeed an illegal election took place yesterday, where police officers were forced to vote in front of their Bosses without the presence of ZEC and us the participating political parties."

"We would like to state categorically clear that as Team MRP we will not accept the outcome of 30 JULY 2018 harmonized elections if all these irregularities are not rectified. Furthermore we demand that all the votes done through the so called postal voting be nullified, in favour of a transparent, all inclusive process where all stakeholders are represented."

"We are aware that the Zimbabwe Defense forces, Zimbabwe Prison Services as well as diplomatic missions are doing the same process while being manned by their Bosses. A process that is open for manipulation, multiple voting as opposed to one man one vote principle."

He said they  would like to warn ZANU PF and it's partners in crime  that as MRP we won't be silenced by a questionable outcome of a rigged election.

"We will continue to defend our people.

Please feel free to contact the Party's Information Department on App number 0027 60 334 7380 and report anything suspicious ahead of elections. We want the names, pictures, videos, etc. No one has a right to intimidate anyone. Report such cases to any election observers you see. My vote is my secret anything less than that is illegal" he said.
