A fair and just Zimbabwe according to Welshman Ncube

The Movement for Democratic Change president, Professor Welshman Ncube, has been lecturing his tweeter followers about a fair and just Zimbabwe.
Prof Ncube and his MDC are great advocates of the devolution of power concept. During the COPAC outreach meetings which composed of all the three political parties in the inclusive government and the civil society, the people of Zimbabwe in all the provinces spoke clearly that they want devolution of power. However Zanu-PF wants to refer the issue to the negotiators.
Ncube once said, the MDC will not allow any moves that are aimed at subverting the desire of the people as spoken during the outreach and captured by the reports of the processes.
The MDC leader once labelled politicians campaigning against devolution as scaremongers afraid of democracy.
Addressing supporters at the launch of a community development project at Daisyfield Primary School in Gweru recently, Ncube said a new constitution without devolution would be useless.
"It is unfair for someone in Harare to determine the affairs of people in Chipinge or Tsholotsho," he said.
"That is very undemocratic. Moreover, people spoke strongly in favour of devolution during the constitutional outreach programme," added Ncube.
He suggested that it is better not to have that constitution than betray the wishes of the people.
Professor Ncube says a fair and just Zimbabwe in which we celebrate our diversity means:
1 - Devolution of Power as a system of national governance.
2 - Promotion, protection and equality of all local languages.
3 - Proceeds from natural resources to benefit local communities.
4 - Locals should benefit first from available jobs within provinces and districts.
5 - Respect for all cultures and traditions.
6 - National TV & radio broadcasts and programs must use all Zimbabwe's languages.
7 - Independent media including community radio.
