New wave of defections hits MDC-T in Bulawayo

A new batch of disgruntled MDC-T members have today joined Welshman Ncube's MDC.
More than 70 people from three constituencies defected citing "lack of transparency".
"We have realised that in MDC-T have been fooling us on devolution saying they would push for it in the new constitution.
"However, that is not the case. The truth is MDC-T is anti-devolution" said Sithabile Ndlovu. The defectors are from Makobaba, Pumula and Emganwini areas.
They said Thokozani Khupe pushed them out of the party:
"She said leaders come and go so it our time to go and leave her alone" said a lady from Makokoba.
Paul Malaba, MDC Bulawayo vice chairman said their move is noble.
"This is the party to be as it is a government in waiting. This is the original MDC".
However, MDC-T say the defections wont dent their image and are of no effect. In the past month more close to 300 people have dumped MDC-T in Bulawayo.
