ZANU-PF Provincial chairperson for Harare and Zone 4 District Coordinating Committee (DCC) chairperson Goodwills Masimirembwa has challenged branch leaders in Harare to play the game of numbers in order to win back the capital.

"Zone 4 has a target of 120 000 registered voters and this is only possible if we the leaders go on the ground and recruit more members," said Masimirembwa.

Masimirembwa said this yesterday during a debrief with party branch leaders, following the closing of submissions of registered cells in preparation for branch level restructuring, at ZANU-PF Zone 4 DCC Headquarters.

"Over the years we have been using old cell registers recycling them whenever we needed to account for our membership, that is going to change now. In the new dispensation we are not going to rely on old registers with ghost members that leaders make up in the comfort of their homes.

Lets mobilize real numbers to the Party and secure our place as the ruling party in the nation's capital again. At the end of the restructuring we will have 19 000 branch leaders in the district.

To be a leader you must be willing to serve, and sacrifice," said Masimirembwa.

He mentioned that the youth are coming in their numbers and that they should not be afraid to take up leadership positions in their league.

"There is a reason why there is a well organised hierarchy in Zanu-PF. The numbers that leadership commands constitutes an overwhelming electorate is if we each bring the recommended numbers at cell level," Masimirembwa added

He said Branch Restructuring will be complete by Friday this week.
